Rokka is the story of land where an ancient evil revives every 100 years and 6 heroes are chosen to put a stop to it. Our hero is Adlet Meyer a man who claims to be the world's strongest man but relies on his wit more then his brawn. The main story revolves around the fact there should be 6 heroes but there appear to be 7 so who is the fake among them.

The volume covers a lot of territory in a short amount of time, which in all honesty makes things hard to follow at times. This is especially true for the first half where it's a rapid fire of introductions and little time understand who is who. Fortunately by the second half things slow down just enough and it's easy to follow what is happening. Which is also where the story really starts. The mystery of who the fake is, is done very well with a good level of tension and mystery.

Overall it's a rough start with good potential that hopefully will live up to the anime. And hopefully go beyond where the anime ended.
