Something About Calypso A Short Story edition by Ian W Port John Rickards Karl Monger Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews
5 stars! A descriptive narrative with twists and turns on every page. Port delivers a knockout short story that leaves the reader wanting more!
Amazingly clever! Ian W. Port draws you in from the beginning and leaves you wanting more. He is my new favorite! I can't wait to read more of his work.
Gripping read! In just moments, Ian Port takes you from an imaginable retreat to a place of unimaginable inner chaos and confusion. Highly recommend!
Captivating story that is a quick read. If you need to get lost for a few minutes and enjoy suspense, give this story a try.
This is the first work I have read from Ian Port and I want to know where I can find more of his stuff. It had me on the edge of my seat. Ian is very descriptive in his writing, making it very easy to picture the scene, almost like you are there. I only wish it was longer, because it left me wanting more.
This is an engrossing story in which the characters capture you in the first few paragraphs, and even as you begin to grasp the depths of their shortcomings you can't help but root for their redemption as you read on. Efficiently builds suspense and leaves the reader speeding through to find the resolution. Fantastic debut of what one can only assume is an outstanding up and comer!
I picked up this book on a whim pretty much because of the title and the picture on the front cover but found it to have a refreshingly new and creative plot with suspenseful undertones and twists that you know are coming but that definitely surprise you. It's like a blend of "A Beautiful Mind" and a John Grisham suspense novel minus all the attorney crap. Good quick fun read.
Not a particularly interesting story, and awkwardly written. I got it to practice my book narration skills.
